I’m Lindsey and welcome to my site, Day of a DINK, the ultimate couples’ travel site filled with stories, adventures, food, and oh so much wine 🍷
If you don’t already know what a DINK is, it stands for Double Income No Kids. And that’s what my husband, Travis, and I are proud to be. It allows us to travel at a drop of a hat and explore the world on our terms.
Before you ask, we do like kids, we love our titles as Aunt Lindsey & Uncle Travis. We’re the cool Aunt & Uncle who bring back gifts from far-off lands. However, we made the personal decision to not have children as our relationship, travel and personal growth has taken priority.
Why Day of a DINK?
I started this blog as a way to catalog our travels so anytime a friend or relative asked about our recent adventures, I could point them here. In this blog, you will find my collection of travel, itineraries, and things I generally find interesting (again more wine)
Being a DINK has allowed us to explore our hobbies and passions. I am passionate about things like finding the best coffee shop in every city, Ina Garten recipes and trying to master them, and making the perfect travel itinerary to maximize our time.
I like to think I’m a unique unicorn and my travel blog is different as it focuses on couples’ travel. I welcome every and all people – gay, straight, purple, or polka dot – welcome. Just don’t be a d*ck and we’ll be all good.
Also, the benefit of being a DINK, you can swear, a lot. I like to write as if we are lifelong friends, I think if we met in person, you’d love my sparkly personality. Hi new friend! Add me on Insta! 💁🏻♀️
